I can’t help myself. Call it inspiration of the season or the number of hours I could spend in front of a glowing Christmas Tree, but I HAVE to talk about Christmas lights!
Christmas Lights are all around us in December. Many people put them on trees, they are hung on houses, and some people even put them in their cars. It’s that feeling of “can’t wait” for the lights to be up again. The decisions around color, size, length, and placement are all a part of the dialogue. We have an ongoing dilemma in our home: light blue, white, or multi-colored? The mood immediately shifts with that light shining in the darkness. It’s real. If you have doubts, watch a child who comes across a lit up Christmas Tree. It’s a gift just to watch their eyes dance and a smile come across their face. What is it about these lights that creates such an effect?
I’m voting that it’s hope!
We live in a world where, quite frankly, it’s easy to feel worn down, frustrated, confused, and even mad. That is a pretty dark place to be experiencing life. All of the sudden, there are Christmas lights shining against the dark night. It brings hope. It doesn’t always have to be dark. Lights illuminate the way.
Friends, we are the Christmas Lights of the world when we choose to show up in our brilliance!
Did I really just suggest that we are Christmas Lights? Why yes, yes I did. When you show up in the world with your skills, talents, authenticity, and LIGHT, you are the magic. You are the one showing people the way to their own brilliance. We don’t need a special formula. We need YOU. The challenge is that most of us sit in the darkness not seeing our own light. Light connects us to larger purpose, impact, flow, and connectedness. The vibrancy of light propels us forward, helps us reach new levels, and aligns us to peace, harmony, and love.
I’m calling you forth today to be the light! It starts with you seeing and embracing your own brilliance. If you’re struggling with this, reach out to me and let’s have a chat. Imagine a world filled with your light, your neighbor’s light, a community light, and even a world light.
Wishing you a wonderful light-filled season. Keep SHINING in Your Brilliance!
