A couple months ago, something strange happened in my community. We had an earthquake. Now if you’re living in a place where you get them frequently, it may be no big deal. If you live in Montana, however, earthquakes are not that common. In fact, we had two earthquakes within a week.
Both times, I felt myself go into a panic mode. I wasn’t even sure what to do. For one of them, I was on a video call with my mentor and he was with me the entire time it was going on! Of course, he’s used to them, as he lives in California. When it was done, he said to me:
Where in your life right now does it feel like the earth is moving?
Um. Everywhere. He told me to write about it, so here we are.
Earth is moving all the time. Our lives are moving all the time. Most of the time, we are simply in a pattern of living, doing the things—eating, sleeping, working—and we just don’t notice the movement. And then there are those times where we can notice the movement. We truly feel the movement. Sometimes we are feeling what we want. Other times, it isn’t what we thought we wanted and yet it’s happening anyway. At this point in my life, that is what was happening.
I had been paralyzed in a decision. Deep down, I knew what I needed to do and yet, I kept convincing myself that if only XYZ happened, then everything would be fine. I was completely immersed into an “if only” cycle.
The universe knew something different. God knew something different. They knew it was time, and if I wasn’t going to make the decision, well, all things would align to ensure a decision was made. And trust me when I say, the Earth moved. And I felt it. On so many levels.
The pressure had finally gotten to a point where there was nowhere else to go. The good news is that after that shift, the movement continued—in a direction that I wanted and had been desiring. Sometimes we just need the ground to shake a little.
Today, I invite you to a place of reflection and exploration. Do you have a place in your life where it feels like the Earth is moving? Or perhaps you feel a pressure area getting ready to explode? Maybe the Earth moved in your life and you are on your way to a new place.
These experiences are great to journal about and notice the shifts taking place. Every piece of these experiences is happening for us and ultimately, will work through us.
Friends, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life. When you read these blogs, it connects us on deeper levels. My hope is that you are inspired to keep seeking deeper connection to yourself and to life.
