When Being Done Means Moving On

I recently overheard myself saying the following: I am SO DONE with this! Not two days later, I had a client who said, “I am so done with this, I am so OVER MYSELF!” Talk about that moment where everything makes sense. My claim was also about being done with getting in my own way. My reactions. My excuses. My being stuck.

I realized in that moment that I was ready to move on.

Have you ever found yourself in this same situation? At some point you realize, I AM DONE. Maybe it’s because you’re tired of listening to yourself. Maybe you’re tired of giving up on your dreams. Maybe you realize there are things out there you want to do. At some point, the frustration of “being done” actually propels us to move forward and onward.

Is there anything in your life right now that feels like you are ready to be done with? I am inviting you to name it right now, out loud. This new awareness—saying it out loud and shining the light on it—will start to shift your energy. You’ve made a decision and that decision matters. That is the first step.

Here’s the next step:

Either grab your phone and talk into a voice memo or grab a sheet of paper and start writing. Here are a few prompts:

  • I am done with…
  • I am finished with…
  • I will stop…

I’m inviting you to let it flow as you let it go. As you speak or write, I want you to notice how you are feeling.

The next step is to welcome in where you are moving on. I like to think of this as an open door. I can enter into a new realm of possibilities and all the things I’m done with are in the rearview mirror.

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling a whole lot lighter just writing this. Seriously, my energy has increased, my shoulders are back, my head is up and I’m ready to move on. Thank you for inspiring me today!

I’d love to hear what you are done with. Let’s support each other in our journeys.

Keep SHINING in Your Brilliance!

Blessings, Peace and JOY –
